Instructional Updates:

The Unit of Inquiry for Term 5 is How the World Works. Our central idea is Changes occur in our world that are within and outside of our control. We have 3 lines of inquiry:

  • Ÿ  Forces that are constructive and destructive
  • Ÿ  Interactions that affect humans and the environment
  • Ÿ  Responsibility for our actions

We will explore these lines of inquiry in science through our exploration of Earth Science standards. This week students will inquire into forces that are constructive and destructive by studying erosion, deposition and weathering.

In math we are shifting our focus to measurement and geometry. We will continue to review and reinforce computation with decimals and fractions throughout our study of volume and properties of two dimensional figures.
