Instructional Updates:

In science last week, students explored constructive and destructive forces at work on the Earth's surface. They inquired into the structure of the earth and the plate movements as well as the difference between weathering, erosion and deposition. This week we will continue to explore weathering, erosion and deposition.  We will be looking at various causes of weathering and how weathering impacts various places and the human interaction with our environment.

In math we explored volume concepts and worked towards applying these concepts to problem solving situations. The homework this week will serve as the study guide for a mid-module assessment students will take Thursday. I'm asking that students complete the homework for each evening as we will be discussing the problems in class the following day. The types of problems on the homework will prepare students for the types of problems they will have on the assessment.

Last week we had a cultural arts program in which students got to learn and practice some swing dance moves.
