Weekly Update 10/19/15

This week in math we will be exploring multi-digit division. Students have begun this process with using mental math strategies to divide with multiples of 10. Students also have explored estimating quotients by rounding to compatible or "friendly" numbers.

This week we will be continuing with our inquiry into traits that make us who we are. Students completed a lab Friday in which they extracted DNA from peas. The website below was used as our process. Students are welcomed to try this process with other materials at home (with parent permission). I would love for anyone that tries with another material to come in and share their findings...photos, video, etc.
