Instructional Update:
This is the last week of term 2 and the students will have several assessments this week. Thursday will be the Science Assessment that covers: Microorganisms, Cells and Inherited Traits/Learned Behaviors. The link below is a quizlet that will help them study and prepare for this assessment.

Friday will be the Summative assessment for math. The study guide is linked below. This is the math homework for the week. We will be going over answers for the study guide in class on Thursday to ensure students have correct answers and are prepared for their assessment. Please ensure that students are completing this study guide as the assessment will be written in a similar format.

Students will also have a graded math assessment coming home Monday. Please review, sign and return to school. Students keep these in their portfolios for reflection and review throughout the year.
Students exploring how traits pass from generation to generation:
Quite a number of students chose to do the Level 4 Extension project for microorganisms. They did a wonderful job researching and presenting on a variety of microbes!
We got a treat of having a parent come share his experience with locating a Civil War shipwreck off the coast of Savannah. The students learned alot and enjoyed our visitors' presentation!
