Instructional Updates:
This term in math we will focus on graphing on the coordinate plane. Students will graph coordinates as well as look for patterns with given lines that are graphed on the coordinate plane. We will only be working in the first quadrant for 5th grade standards. Homework and help videos are attached below:
Our Unit of Inquiry (UOI) in term 6 is Sharing the Planet. Students will create their own inquiry project through our Exhibition process. This week students will be brainstorming things they care about the help them choose a topic for research. Students will be writing their own lines of inquiry and central idea in their Exhibition groups. This is a culminating experience for students in the Primary Years Programme at IB schools. I look forward to sharing work that the students complete each week. We will be needing parent mentor volunteers to help with this process. If you are willing to mentor a group, please let Ms. Black or I know ASAP!
